JM Drama presents
Urinetown
August 13th - August 16th

Where Has All The Water Gone??

Urinetown, the Musical is a hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love and revolution that takes place in a Gotham City-like place which has been devastated by a drought. In order to ration the water, the citizens must now use public pay-per-use facilities owned and operated by Urine Good Company – an evil and greedy private corporation. Relevant to today’s spiraling oil prices and water shortages, the play deals with the sustainability of people’s lifestyle and the changes that may be required to survive.

JM Drama is bringing the musical to Kitchener under the production of Don Bourgeois and the direction of Cheryl Ewing and Jessica Croezen.

Urinetown debuted at the New York International Fringe Festival and ran on Broadway for almost 1,000 performances.

Urinetown was created by Mark Hollmann and Greg Kotis and is the winner of three Tony Awards.

Consistent with the musical, show goers will be charged for using the amenities with the proceeds going to the Rotary Club of Kitchener where they will qualify for matching funds to support water projects in Kenya.
